Spotlit
v0.1.1Oct 21, 2026
A screen recorder with cursor spotlight, auto-zoom and live captions.
Record your screen with first-class cursor and keystroke effects, smooth auto-zoom and fully local live captions.
Spotlit is a screen recorder for tutorials and demos. It highlights where you click, shows the keys you press, zooms in on the action automatically and can caption what you say, all on your own machine.
It is free software with no telemetry and no network use. Built with Qt 6/QML and libobs, it records through OBS's capture and encoder stack.

Good to know
- Linux is the most tested platform; Windows was built and partly tested on one machine; macOS has not been built or run yet.
- Installers are not code-signed yet, so Windows may warn about an unknown publisher.
