Periphone
v0.0.9Oct 21, 2026
Use your Android phone as a wireless camera, microphone and earbuds.
Low-latency H.264 video up to 4K and lossless 48 kHz audio from your phone to your computer, built mainly for OBS Studio.
Periphone streams your phone's camera and microphone straight to your computer over USB or Wi-Fi, with a native OBS Studio source. There is no account, no cloud server and no telemetry; video goes directly from the phone to your PC.
Use camera, microphone or both, with one phone or several at once. It can also play your computer's sound through the phone's Bluetooth earbuds.

Release v0.0.9
Older versions are on the release page.
Features
Camera up to 4K
H.264 High profile, hardware decoding, every size and frame rate your phone actually supports.
Lossless microphone
Uncompressed 16-bit 48 kHz audio from the phone's mic, with drift correction and a small jitter buffer.
Native OBS source
Add a Periphone source in OBS Studio; it shows live video and reconnects on its own.
Several phones at once
A desktop window lists every connected camera with previews, stats and per-phone settings.
USB or Wi-Fi
USB is preferred for the lowest latency; Wi-Fi works with automatic discovery. Pair once with a 6-digit code.
Private
No account, no cloud, no telemetry. Wi-Fi video is not encrypted yet, so prefer USB or a trusted network.
What you need
- An Android phone with the Periphone app
- Android platform-tools (adb) on the computer for USB mode
- OBS Studio if you want the native source
Good to know
- The desktop installers are not code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen may show an unknown-publisher warning (More info, then Run anyway).
- macOS builds and Wi-Fi with real phones have had limited testing so far.
